The Internationalisation Committee of the Jagiellonian University was instituted on January 13, 2017, by the Rector of the University. The tasks entrusted to this body are:
- establishing new and developing the existing study programs thereby creating an attractive educational offer for foreign students;
- initiating new intercollegiate cooperation agreements;
- increasing the number of joint educational and research projects carried out by the Jagiellonian University together with the foreign partners (especially as part of the Horyzont 2020 program);
- increasing the number of foreign students at the Jagiellonian University (both those completing the entire study program at the JU, and those completing only chosen courses as part of international exchange programs);
- increasing the level of engagement of the University and its Faculty in research abroad;
- increasing the number of foreign academics teaching at the University;
- improving and updating the system of collecting data pertaining to study programs at the University, international agreements of which the University is a part, Polish students' mobility and Alumni careers;
- coordination of activities pertaining to the participation of the University in international and national scientific-research networks;
- coordinating the tasks undertaken by the Jagiellonian University as part of its activities within the scientific-research networks, and ensuring an unimpeded flow of information within the University.
